Miles City, MO to Bozeman, MO 283 miles. Due to regional storms, I was forced to extend my route yesterday to take advantage of the good weather. I paid for that today having to endure 1.5 hours of rain in 42 degree weather. Rain Gear to the rescue! If you are interested, Goggle "Frogg Toggs."
Sometimes the destination is more important than the ride. Follow me on an epic motorcycle ride from Reno, NV to visit the one, the only, town of Milbank, South Dakota. This fully documented ride will start on June 6th, 2017 and last through June 16th, 2017. You will have the opportunity to follow along via GPS tracking, read daily posts, see pictures and videos along the way, and most importantly to contribute to the MIlbank, SD High School -- Go Bulldogs!

READ THIS: I am not a professional rider and I am not organizing a structured group motorcycle ride of any kind. America is a free country and if you choose to ride a short segment of the ride with me, I think that would be great; however, this does not constitute a planned structured group ride. You alone must make the decision and determine if this is something in which you want to participate, that you are capable of doing, and that you accept all liability for your own actions, safety, and property. There is no guaranteed or implied security, safety, or coverage for injury and/or damage to your property if you should choose to follow me on any segment of this quest.

Day 7 progress: From Milbank, South Dakota to Miles City, Montana (483.7 miles, 7 hours, 43 minutes driving).
Day 7 Destination Change
Due to the good weather conditions and uncertainty of tomorrow's weather, I have changed my end destination for June 12, 2017. Instead of ending my route in Bowman, North Dakota, I'm venturing an additional 120 miles to Miles City, Montana.

Day 6 -- Mueseums of Milbank
Not only did Laura Kelly, Event and Tourism Director arrange and drive me around today to Dakota Granite and Big Stone Lake, but she also arranged for me to meet Bruce Johnson who was manning the Milbank Dolan-Justice Memorial Museum. Thanks again!
Bruce was kind enough to escort us through the Dolan-Justice Memorial Museum, the First Congregational Church of Milbank, and The Milbank Carnegie Library. The Dolan-Justice Museum.
The Dolan-Justice Museum is to the publishers of the Grant County Review and other local interests. You can read more about Phyllis Dolan and Clarence Justice here (Milbank's Newspaper Family).
The First Congregational Church of Milbank was built using funds from Jeremiah Milbank himself in the late 1880s.
The Milbank Carnegie Library was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It was built in 1906 as part of Carnegie’s philanthropic program to provide funding to libraries in towns large and small throughout the country. It replaced a smaller library established in 1882. The Carnegie Foundation put up $7,000 for the building if the city committed to annual funding and to supplying the land. The library was designed by Minneapolis architect, Ralph D. Church. The L-shape form of the Neoclassical library is unique among South Dakota Carnegie libraries, but not uncommon on a national scale. The city of Milbank built a new library in 1979 and, in 1982, the old Carnegie library became the home of the Grant County Historical Society that was established in 1970.

Day 6 -- Big Stone Lake - Shores of Timber Ridge
Tim and Jean Graf invited me to visit there home in the Shores of Timber Ridge development (http://www.shoresoftimberridge.com/) located on Big Stone Lake. This lake is located about 12 miles north of Milbank, SD. This a beautiful development with many lots available. Check out the aforementioned web site to see more.
Lots of wildlife.
